King, Warrior, Magician, Lover: 

Inspired by the book King, Warrior, Magician, Lover: Rediscovering the Archetypes of the Mature Masculine this is a 4 part series exploring the ways that these 4 representations of masculinity manifest in our lives.

The Archetype of the Warrior - the energy of aggressive but nonviolent action.

In this second session we will be exploring the archetype of the Warrior and use the video essay by Like Stories of Old as a guide. The expression of the Warrior archetype comes through our effort, energy, initiative, force. How do you express your volition in the world. It is expressed through purpose, mindfulness , our adaptability, decisiveness, skillfulness, loyalty and discipline. 

Using meditation, sound immersion, movie yoga and deep listening we explore how these expressions of the warrior archetype do or do not play out in our personal lives. 

About the Series

This series is a part of a rolling series of Men's Circles held at Fairfield Uniting Church. They are an opportunity for Men to come together and explore important themes and ideas. They are an opportunity to sit with like minded men in a space geared towards curiosity and deep listening.
