Stanislav Grof, born in 1931 in Prague, Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic), is a psychiatrist and one of the founders of the field of transpersonal psychology. He is renowned for his extensive research on non-ordinary states of consciousness, including psychedelic experiences induced by substances such as LSD.
